Spacious 6BR/2BA Family Home – Minutes from NYC

First impressions matter—absolutely no parking near the home for nearly an hour, storm door was broken and would not close, porch light look liked it had been hit by a bat and did not work. Once you get inside expect a narrow and steep flight of stairs to get to the main level of the house.The actual was nicely remodeled, individual room A/C units kept the space comfortable, even in the summer heat. Spaces were clean and basic supplies and amenities were provided. A few things to note:—the valve handles in both showers were rather loose, with the handle falling off in the main floor shower. —plan on a 45 minute Uber/Lyft to get to anything in NYC…there are a few local shops and eateries, but it very limited.—if you’re driving yourself, find another place. We arrived in two cars and it took well over an hour to find street parking within 3 blocks. We ended up buying parking permits (50 each) to make sure we weren’t ticketed; one of our vehicles was still ticketed, even with the permit and being parked clearly in an unrestricted space (areas are blocked off for driveways and hydrants).

Le logement de Tahany était parfait pour notre famille de 8 personnes. Il était très spacieux, confortable et parfaitement équipé, avec toutes les commodités nécessaires pour un séjour agréable. L’emplacement est également idéal, avec un accès facile à New York. Les supermarchés et les différents services sont à proximité, ce qui est très pratique. Si vous venez en voiture, je vous conseille toutefois de bien vous renseigner sur les règles de stationnement à Bayonne, car elles sont assez complexes et très réglementées.

From the moment we arrived the experience became stressful. We were sitting in the car waiting for our 4 PM check-in and had not even parked yet when a woman and a young lady approached my window and told us to move or they would call the police. Finding parking was extremely difficult, and we ended up parking on the next block and received 2 tickets. The house looks more luxurious in the pictures than it actually is. The angles make it appear larger and nicer than it felt in person. It was primarily beds, flies and gnats inside, and the backyard was extremely filthy and cluttered. Another concern was the setup. I didn’t realize from the listing that this was not a single-family home and that someone lives downstairs. The back door only had a keypad lock. The host repeatedly referred to her “team” in the messages, so I was left wondering who else may have access to that code. With 5 children, including 3 4 yr olds, that made me uncomfortable from a safety and privacy standpoint I DNR
